Film Fund Sarajevo was established in 2002 under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a community fund with a national reach. The Fund has to date supported over 150 short and feature films including minority co-productions, among them features such as Fuse by Pjer Žalica, Summer in the Golden Valley by Srđan Vuletić, Grbavica by Jasmila Žbanić, Snow by Aida Begić, Circus Columbia, An Episode in the Life of Iron Picker by Danis Tanović and Once Upon a Time in Anadolia by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Besides production, the Fund also supports training, project development, promotion and archiving. Sarajevo Film Festival is an international film festival with a special focus on the region of Southeast Europe. High quality programming (Competition sections, Focus, Kinoscope, Tribute and Open Air) a strong industry segment (CineLink Industry Days), an educational and networking platform for young filmmakers (Talents Sarajevo) and thus generated presence of the international film industry, film authors and media representatives, alongside an audience of over 100,000, confirm its status as the leading film festival in the region, recognised by both professionals and the wider audiences.
